I want to remove a partition that the previous owner setup for an install of linux. I combined the leftover unallocated partitions using partition magic, and when I went to reboot this error came up: GRUB Loading stage1.5. From your description, you may have an extended partition and that can be saved. Please help…If I run fixmbr now, I think that will destroy all my partition table?? weblink

Secondly grub is lookin at "partition #6 for /boot/grub/stage2 and /boot/grub/menu.lst" but there isn't a partition 6. When this is accepted you will then get a response indicating one record in and one out. Most likely, as that was where the system was installed./dev/sdb - If I knew what this was, I forgot./dev/sdc - This was where the 16 GB SDD ended up being. From there executing "fdisk /status" shows the hard drive completely intact (minus the MBR), "fdisk /mbr" silently fixes it.
