The video won't even encode when I turn on background encoding. There are multiple settings in Compressor, and you can manipulate them to get the best possible encode. I'm getting no responses in the Apple forum. Once was while using a files from a usb key, and the another time was when my project files were scattered around my hard drive. have a peek here
