I want to have a lossless collection as my archive and/or main source for listening at home and also have the ability to have separate MP3's for my portable devices like Instead, the music was all there, but was covered by a profound veil of static sounding noise. I did have a fairly old drive which was fine except on the last couple of minutes of very long CDs, where it was useless. I don't think you will have a problem with clean unscratched CDs.
I have been googling and apparently the Esus 616A or the Plextor 130a are if i understand correctly the best. For this, the program C2EXTRACT.EXE has to be used for extracting the WAV image from the test CD. Sometimes there are bugs within the firmware of the optical drive.

I've always had good luck with it. You can see if C2 errors are reported and if it matches with the error positions shown in the error graph. If EAC does not support the drive speed of the drive to test, you can try if CD-Bremse (only available in german) or a similar tool can set the speed of Hlloyge didn't even really address the question.That some people may not submit results for discs in categories A, B and/or C hardly means that no one does.

DVDs should play in both, but I have found an odd disk that one play in one player or another - but works fine in another one.
